Last Thoughts on Water

One of the reasons I think that we struggle when things don't go our way is that we have a mental picture in our head already about our life. We've already mapped out what a moment, a day or a year of our life is suppose to look like. When things don't go our way, we go bananas! "This was the plan!" we say.

Making new choices then becomes really hard because we get stonewalled with trying to make the right ones but, is there only one? Fear not, Ruth Chang has some words on how to re-think HARD CHOICES and yes, it's all thanks to TED.

Happy Summer, People!

Technology and Time

As we ponder, "where does your time go" this week, I wanted to share an interesting TED Talk I found on TIME.

Check out what she has to say about technology as part of our identity today and how technology has altered our sense of time. It's definitely worth 10 minutes of "your" time.

Can you see the math in this painting?

I'm short on time today but I found this fascinating video on Vincent Van Gogh and his famed painting, Starry, Starry Night.

Remember it was Ethan's favorite when I took the kids to the MOMA a few weeks ago.

Just goes to show that ART, MATH & SCIENCE are not separate entities.

Beautiful skies in the forecast - have a great weekend!

Living Beyond Limits

I wanted to share this extraordinary TED Talk with you (and the kids) about Amy Purdy, world class snowboarder and 2014 Paralympic bronze medalist.

Her story about losing her legs after contracting bacterial meningitis and being given a 2% chance of survival is an inspiration and the epitome of
"living beyond limits". WATCH NOW!!
